OUR STORY
Edgeborough Farm has been in the Morris family for over 100 years, and keeping it that way has always mattered to us.
This isn’t just land we work on, it’s where generations of our family have lived, worked, learned and built their lives. Being a fourth-generation farm brings a huge amount of pride, but also responsibility, and every decision we make is with the future of the farm in mind.
Over the years the farm has grown and changed, splitting across three sites and expanding into dairy farming, pig farming and arable land. Like most family farms, we’ve had to adapt, try new things and sometimes take brave steps forward to make sure the business stays strong.
Diversifying hasn’t been about chasing trends it’s been about protecting what’s already here and making sure the farm can support future generations of the Morris family.
Edgeborough Pork came from a simple idea: rear pigs properly, cook them well and share great food with people in a relaxed, honest way. All of our pigs are reared right here on the farm, which means we know exactly where our food comes from and how it’s been raised. Welfare, quality and flavour matter to us not because it sounds good, but because it’s how we’ve always farmed.
What really drives us is the passion for farming that’s been passed down through the family. We care deeply about doing things properly, working with the land, and welcoming people onto the farm whether that’s through hog roasts, events, or hosting weddings. We take the work seriously, but not ourselves. Good food, good people and good times are what it’s all about.
Meet the Team
On this farm, it’s just a father and son working side by side, tending to the land and passing down the skills that keep our tradition alive.
Joe Morris
Joe is fourth generation on the farm and has never known anything else. He grew up here, learned the ropes from a young age and has always had a particular soft spot for pigs easily his favourite animals to rear (and yes, to eat).
Joe runs Edgeborough Pork and brings together his love of farming, food and people. With over ten years’ experience in hog roast catering, he’s passionate about creating great events while helping the farm evolve so it can stay in the family for many years to come.
Charlie Morris
Charlie is third generation and took over the farm from his dad, John. A dairy farmer at heart, Charlie has always believed that tradition and progress go hand in hand.
Back in 2000, when he had just 70 cows, he became one of the first farmers in the area to install robotic milking with a Merlin system a move that shaped the way the farm operates today. Alongside his wife Kate, Charlie continues to run the farm, passing on both the values and the work ethic that have kept Edgeborough Farm going for over a century.
